While hard to see in a photo, the inside is glazed with a matte-clear glaze. 

Microwave and dishwasher safe.  Handwashing and drying is encouraged to preserve the longevity.

Many JL Ceramics. pieces have unglazed areas. When fired the raw clay becomes stain resistant. Staining is still possible if you aren't careful! To prevent permanent staining, please wash the same day you use your item. To get out stubborn marks, buff the affected area with baking soda and some water.
