Unglazed on the inside because the raw fired clay surface is enjoyed and preferred by lots of plants. The vessel is fired to a hot enough temperature where it will not leak if a plant is in it and watered a normal amount.
Not suitable for standing water.
No drainage holes, as these vessels can be used for more than just plants. If you are worried about over watering place small pebbles or clay beads in the bottom of the vessel will for drainage.
